this is a graph to show "total volume of retail spending made via mobile devices in the UK in 2014 and 2019 by age group (in million GBP)"
- these results show that clearly many more consumers are choosing to shop online in 2019 than they did in 2014

- interestingly, this graph shows that more participants in the survey bought more clothes in-store than online within the last year

- again, this graph shows that overall more participants shopped more in-store than online within the past year
- however, it is also interesting to note that the 16-24 year old section is the biggest for both surveys, meaning that generally more of them buy clothes on a frequent basis, and this is consequently why so many fast-fashion brands target them

- these graphs shows that the majority of participants in the survey bought more items online than in store in the last 12 months

- this graph shows that more people buy items online from a brands website as opposed to their app
- this therefore highlights a gap in the market and an opportunity for New Look to improve if they were to have a greater app-presence

- it is hard to say which method is used more to purchase clothes (online or physical stores)
- most consumers use both methods
