ALEXANDER MCQUEEN MOODBOARD

I was inspired to create a moodboard using images of Alexander McQueens breathtaking work after I watched the 'McQueen' documentary on Netflix. 

The moving, 2 hour long documentary went into detail about the interesting story of Alexander McQueen's career. From him being scouted after graduating from St Martins to his innovative (albeit sometimes gruesome) collections, to his tragic death in 2010. McQueen was undeniably an extremely talented and inspirational designer, who was ahead of his time in many ways. For example using the robots to spray paint a dress during a show as well as his 'Platos Atlantis' show which involved various garments made using 3D printing and other abstract, technology based methods in order to create unique pieces. 
I have also included images of McQueens famous 'busters', which were extremely low cut trousers around the waist, in order to elongate the torso and therefore create a new silhouette.
