PROPOSED CONSUMER

PROPOSED CONSUMER : WOMEN BETWEEN 30-50
  • https://www-statista-com.hallam.idm.oclc.org/statistics/863056/average-annual-consumer-expenditure-on-womenswear-by-age-us/
- This is a graph to show the 'average annual consumer expenditure on womenswear in the United States in 2018, in $'
- Although this graph is based on consumers in America, it is still relevant as our countries align with our cultures of mass-spending and purchasing on consumerism products
- Evidently, the graph shows that the group that spends the most amount of money on clothes is the 45-54 year old demographic. Therefore, if New Look were to focus on this group of people they would most likely see a positive, profitable result
- This result makes sense as women between this age obviously have more disposable income than the under 25 category, given that they most likely have a full time job and are financially independent as appose to relying financially on a part time job, student loan or the generosity of parents like under 25s do. In addition, women of this age have the benefit of having savings from working for the previous years, and many will have finished paying off student loans etc and consequently have more disposable income that they can spend on whatever they want
