BLACK FRIDAY / CYBER MONDAY
BLACK FRIDAY / CYBER MONDAY PROMOTIONS
Closely following New Looks instagram, and website I have seen that they have been posting very frequently over the Black Friday/ cyber Monday weekend (11 times from Friday - Sunday evening), as well as posting on their instagram story to promote the sales and offers that they carried out during this time. They also frequently posted on their facebook page.
The brand offered a tease offer which was only available for a limited amount of time, on the Wednesday before Black Friday of 25% off all full price boots and bags (current on-trend items reflecting the time of year and current trends. This was assumably in the hopes that it would engage their audience and leave them getting excited for the bigger offers on Black Friday. On Black Friday itself New Look were offering up to 50% 'selected styles', this therefore led customers to going on the site and browsing through the different styles in order to find out which were 50% off, and consequently see something else that they might like (which is full price) in the process; an effective marketing tactic.
The aesthetic of their posts for both sales were predominantly christmassy; red, black, silver, sparkly and many red bows/ribbons (perhaps thinking that people were buying Christmas presents in the Black Friday sales, as well as reflecting the festive season coming into play during Black Friday-time). Interestingly also, both cyber Monday and Black Friday aesthetics were different but followed the same look and complimented each other, cyber Monday being silver sparkly and Black Friday being black sparkly. Both aesthetics also obviously followed the same logos and font branding that New Look always use. Their instagram posts also mirrored their website aesthetics, creating coherency.
